Exterior Work

Full prep. can be carried out if requested

  • Burn off all loose & flaking paint to woodwork
  • Knot, stop & prime
  • Putty point glazing bars
  • Bare timber given 1 priming coat
  • Timber to be rubbed down between coats
  • Bring forward with 1 coat undercoat and 1 coat gloss/2 coats (if requested)

Ironwork

  • Remove rust & deteriorated paint by wire brushing
  • Apply 1 undercoat & 1 top coat gloss paint

Stonework

  • Loose, flaking and unstable coatings to be scraped, wire brushed, burnt or otherwise removed
  • Cracks to be raked out, fillet and smoothed - repaired areas to be given 1 coat of exterior stabilising primer
  • Final surface to be  given 2 coats masonry paint
